Event Info - Travelplan Ski Northern NSW & QLD Champs
Changes to the 2019 Northern NSW and Queensland Interschools Provisional Schedule.
Due to expected operational conditions for the coming event period, we have moved to change some of the event scheduling for next week’s Northern NSW and Queensland Event to be held at Perisher. Record event entries of over 3,000 in number from 228 schools has combined with the current snow-level challenges to open all available event terrain, and accordingly Interschools Snowsports has moved to develop a revised schedule in collaboration with the Perisher Resort.
The main changes involve:
- Commencing events from Monday afternoon, rather than Tuesday morning.
- Night-time events to be held on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
- Completing all events on Friday evening.
The schedule can be found here
In developing this revised schedule, we have endeavoured to minimise the disruption for parents and competitors by moving some events into the evening before of the original scheduled date only, at this stage. As always the event schedule remains subject to change dependant upon operational conditions.
We appreciate that this will create some readjustments and extra planning for schools, parents and competitors. We are actively working with the Resort to ensure that the night-time events are managed in an efficient and supportive environment, with suitable facilities and transport options available for all evenings to be in operation.
We look forward to welcoming all schools and competitors next week, and school coordinators should note that Bib-Collection will now commence from 9.30am on Monday from the Perisher Ski Tube Terminal Interschools Race-Office.
